
RADIO SKONTO begins digital transformation
RADIO SKONTO is starting its digital transformation with the development of a new online radio store and the upgrade of the RADIO SKONTO broadcast management system.
To support RADIO SKONTO’s digital transformation and ensure its sustainable development, RADIO SKONTO LV Ltd., with funding from the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Plan under Reform and Investment Direction 2.2 “Digital Transformation and Innovation of Enterprises,” Investment 2.2.1.5.i “Facilitating Digital Transformation of Media Industry Enterprises,” and the activity “Modernization of Media Industry Enterprise Processes,” has begun implementing the project “Creation of an Online Radio Store and Upgrade of the RADIO SKONTO Broadcast Management System with Adaptation to Digital Transformation and Ensuring the Station’s Sustainability.”
Project goal:
To develop, test, implement, and launch an online radio store (digital platform) that will serve as a catalyst for digital transformation and sustainable development of the radio station by increasing the reach of its advertising services, generating e-commerce revenue, and reducing the environmental impact and resource consumption of commercial activities;
To acquire and adapt updates to the RADIO SKONTO broadcast management system to meet modern digital requirements and needs.
The project is being implemented by RADIO SKONTO LV Ltd. together with partners. Project number: 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/022. Project budget: €393,287.11. Implementation period: December 9, 2024 – June 30, 2026. Expected outcomes: an upgraded RADIO SKONTO broadcast management system and a developed digital platform for the online radio store. Achieving these goals will help the radio station adapt to current media consumption trends and promote sustainable development and enhanced competitiveness in the digital age.
